PRIME minister David Cameron is facing problems with Eurosceptic Tory MPs mainly, but not solely, on the right-wing of his party.
But with a majority of 12 seats and issues could get even worse for him.
There must be a fair number of Tory MPs on all wings of the party who rightly or wrongly believe they have been turned down for promotion, who might be tempted to rebel – those who did not get ministerial posts during the coalition.
Some left-wing Tories will protest at cuts to the welfare budget and on other issues.
Remember the problems John Major had with a larger majority, particularly with the Maastricht Treaty rebels.
Any prime minister needs a majority of 40 to 50 seats to be safe!
Mr Cameron may end up thinking the coalition was a good thing after all.
Secondly, on a lighter note, in a letter to The Times last year a reader from Chilbolton described how a foreign bird – the Blackcap – had terrorised smaller birds in his garden and prevented them from feeding!
Is this typical of the bird or an isolated example of such behaviour?
