WHAT does it take to have an illegal car removed from the public highway?
Well, in this case, so far no less than six reports made to DVLA through their website, two phone calls and a letter to the police have resulted in zilch being done about a car currently situated on Admirals Way.
It’s been there for months, unmoved, no MOT since April 18 this year and the road tax expired on June 1.
Not only is it a heap of junk and an eyesore, it’s totally illegal and taking up valuable parking space which is at a premium at the best of times.
This vehicle has recently been joined by an ancient white van, the tax on which expired on July 1. I guarantee that this has been dumped as well.
Admirals Way has, curiously, been a dumping ground for years. When will action be taken on the people who ditch their vehicles. After all they can and should be traceable.
