WE ARE three ladies who are connected to the Lawes family from Basingstoke, Ramsdell and Monk Sherborne areas.
We meet from time to time in Basingstoke library and would like to hear from any descendants of the children of Stephen and Susan (nee Betts) Lawes.
Stephen was a general labourer/ pedlar/hawker by trade. They lived in Potters Lane, Basingstoke from about 1873 to 1880 and then lived in Hollybush Lane, Ramsdell and later on in Monk Sherborne. Susan died there in about 1920 The children were Annie Eliza, Sarah Jane, Rose Caroline, William S, Charles H, Albert E, Arthur, Susan Eliz, Alice L, Beatrice Matilda, Violet L.
We know Stephen was born in the Andover area and Susan in Stoke Poges.
We have many queries and a photo of a couple with a little girl whom we cannot identify.
We hope some other descendants are out there who could help us.
