WHAT a refreshing editor’s comment in the Advertiser (July 31), really positive writing about our town.
Andover is a great place to live I agree. We have travelled to many towns in this wonderful country of ours and we too love to come back to our heaven in North Hampshire.
I know there are problems here but they are no different to any other place, in fact some towns have more. When I stand at the bottom of the High Street on a Saturday afternoon I don’t concentrate on the bits that need improvement, but if you look up at roof level there are some really interesting bits of archi-tecture up there. The town knockers should try it.
Of course what really warms your heart is the people here. Always a smile and a word from most of our town population and there are groups of folks all over town passing the time of day. In a word Andover is home.
