SEVENTY years ago, on 6 August 1945, a nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima and killed over 80,000 people. Just imagine that happening here in our town.
Days later, another nuclear bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, another town in Japan, and killed more than 60,000 people. Imagine that happening in Basingstoke. Nuclear bombs have not disappeared.
