OUR hardworking, cheerful, obliging, friendly traders attend to our needs through thick and thin throughout the year.

Additionally we in Andover our further blessed with farmers’ markets, themselves bringing a variety of produce and extra footfall into the town.

In our markets we are able to find anything from our superbly stocked fruit and veg stall, (cheeky banter freely given) to bread, cakes, pies and a luxurious ranges of cheeses, that would rival any supermarket here or otherwise.

Fashions? Take your pick from the various stalls with gaily coloured clothes reflecting the changing of seasons blowing freely in the breeze.

The egg stall sells eggs so fresh that the Great British Bake Off uses them. Is it army equipment you’re looking for? Yes you can find that too, or perhaps plants and flowers, or something for your pets, new bed ,food, or a collar?

How about a break for a cup of coffee and something hot to eat, yes you can do that in the market, or walk round with freshly made donuts, or even chew on a crab stick. Eat meat? Then try the butchers usually located at the back of the Guildhall.

Problem with your watch, need a new battery or fancy having your mobile unlocked?

There will be someone there to help with that too.

Carpet looking threadbare?

Or just fancy a new rug? The market can supply that as well.

I’m sure I have forgotten more than I can remember about what Andover market traders sell.

Market traders complement our town with their brand of uniqueness, trading easily and seamlessly alongside existing shops, independents and local businesses.

I can happily say that market days bring our town to life with a vibrancy of colours sounds and music.

We in Andover are incredibly fortunate that over the years our traders have got to know us, so they seem more like fond family members rather than the incredibly hard and loyal bunch of people that they actually are.
