REAL life people surely deserve more attention than the little plastic gadget that has become most people’s master.

It summons the owner whenever and wherever.

Yes, the toxic mobile has become something to be drooled over.

The humpbacks with their mega-large thumbs come towards you, transfixed, and it seems that it is your fault that they have collided with you.

But they must keep an eye on it just in case something is missed that is really important!

Some can be seen staring at their plaything hoping to goad it into some sort of activity.

They are so entranced putting it all on ‘facetube’ that they are missing the real moment.

We have witnessed couples in restaurants who at the behest of their mobiles, spend most of the evening thumbing their texts to others together with an ego “look at me” snap of the drink they are possibly about to enjoy.

But who cares?

At The Lights theatre inconsiderate users can distract, and will continue to do so, until they are eventually admonished. In some instances the mobile suddenly becomes a megaphone but it is nothing to shout about, indeed, why shout? After all, who wants to listen?

It appears that a lot of people favour mobiles over face to face contact and conversation.

What about the real flesh and blood you’re with?

Sadly good old conversation and eye contact seem to be on the wane and... oh, hang on a minute, is that my ring tone or yours?
