TVBC Vacancy:
Staff wanted for Enforcement Dept. Must be totally devoid of compassion.
Is that the sort of image that TVBC want to project? Fining Paul Stanford for helping a lady who was feeling ill is indefensible, especially as this could well have been a pre-cursor to the stroke she had later on.
What makes it even worse is that his trade is very closely allied to the taxi bay he parked in!
Yet every man and his dog, including disabled drivers (who have enough spaces reserved in the comfort of the multi-storey car park), can park on the double yellow lines at the rear of the old Tesco store, causing a bottleneck and forcing drivers to traverse onto the wrong side of what is a narrow bend.
Also this creates a problem for HGVs trying to deliver in this area.
So Test Valley, have a heart and rescind the fine given to this Good Samaritan.
