THERE is only one reason why Andover visitor numbers are falling – the lack of larger stores.
The town is crying out for shops like Debenhams, Primark or a similar departmental store. When Tesco moved from the town centre (still sadly missed) the site was a prime place for this type of store.
The days are gone when Andover was a lovely market town to visit. That stopped when the Chantry Centre was built. Progress is acceptable but unfortunately we have only moved on so far.
Come on Andover, let’s turn the town into a place that people will visit to shop. Also in comparison, Andover parking is cheaper.
