SLIP sliding away (again).
Yet again I see that another well known shop is moving away from the Chantry Centre – namely Argos – and relocating inside Sainsbury’s at Monro’s roundabout.
It seems that so many are leaving the town centre, and as for the old Tesco site – well don’t hold your breath for any new shop arriving any time soon.
Just how many more will disappear, leaving shoppers on foot isolated from out of town locations?
The High Street is a bad joke. We’re back to having banks, building societies, coffee shops and charity shops.
For the size of Andover the failure to attract a department store is terrible – and mind out for the High Street bricks trying to trip you up constantly.
It’s a total disgrace in my book.
