SOME members from the Upper Clatford WI have been busy recently making small quilts for the premature baby unit at Winchester Hospital.
Many of them have experienced the wonderful care shown at the unit during difficult times, so some members donated time and effort to produce a selection of small quilts for the cribs. Upper Clatford WI has a thriving crafting group who have recently knitted ‘twiddlemuffs’ for elderly and dementia patients. They also got their sewing machines out and made wonderful colourful shoulder bags for women who need drainage bags after breast operations.
This WI is a lively group who always welcome new members. They meet every third Wednesday of the month at Upper Clatford village hall — 7.30pm. Do come and join them!
