I WOULD like to congratulate the Advertiser on its recent Aster coverage but would like to correct the misconception that leaseholders are homeowners.

They are tenants and tucked away in a leasehold agreement will be a clause granting the landlord access to leaseholders’ property.

Secondly when TVBC entered into a contract with Testway Housing to take over the housing stock in 2000 they did not add a clause requiring Testway and successors to be or act as social landlords.

This was an unfortunate error which could have prevented Aster behaving in the way it does today.

Finally in a Victorian census of Andover I came across three people with the very rare surname Corp, which is Norman French for the raven.

A nickname for someone with black shiny hair, perhaps?
