YES, it’s a new year and let’s pray it will be a peaceful one.

Might I have some space to thank those who received Ken and I at Castledown radio station at Christmas.

We were in the company of a very wonderful young lady that has worked for Tesco until recently and also another very bright and delightful lady that sings in the army wives choir. I hope I will get to witness them singing this year, I do admire them. Our army will be nothing without the ladies keeping things going while the men are away.

Thanks to you both, it is a pleasure to meet people like you and the lady that worked at Tesco. Don’t worry you will have a terrific job this year.

Of that I’m certain.

Now to Helen and Roy Batterby.

Roy has been quite unwell at Christmas time. We hope he is better now. They have just moved to a cosy, clean, newly built flat in Andover.

It’s good to see them settled and they are not a hundred miles away from us, but we do miss them.

Now a message for Emma who works at Castledown Radio, I am upset to hear the bad news that you are suffering and pray things will brighten up for you in the new year.

I just know things will improve and you will come out on top smiling.

We wish you all a bright new year and thank you once again.

God bless our Queen.

God bless all of you.

And thank you once again.

Mrs Josephine Smith, Hedges Close, Shipton Bellinger
