IN A town that has so much negativity at the moment (with toilets and M&S closing), please can we give The Lights some praise?
Yet again, they’ve managed to pull it out of the bag and get a well-known comedian to come back and perform for us at a bargain price. Next week Michael McIntyre returns!
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to secure names like this to our little town on a regular basis, but the venue manager works hard to keep bringing them in.
In the past few years I’ve seen Jason Manford, Russell Howard, Jack Dee, Alan Carr, Jimmy Carr – to name but a few.
The venue also has a wide range of shows, fairs, themed nights, ballet, plays, tribute acts and children’s workshops.
We are very lucky to have all of this on our doorstep.
