CHRONIC pain can have profound effects upon quality of life.

Researchers at the University of Southampton are inviting individuals to participate in a study examining how chronic pain affects the processing of pain-related information.

Individuals aged between 18 and 70, and who experience chronic pain, are invited to take part.

We are also recruiting painfree individuals as a comparison group.

Participants will complete a series of simple computer tasks, followed by some questionnaires assessing their emotions and pain characteristics.

The study involves attending one session at the Pain Research Laboratory at the University of Southampton, Academic Unit of Psychology.

The experiment takes about 60 to 75 minutes to complete.
