REFERENCE the proposed merger of Friends of Andover War Memorial Hospital merger North Hampshire Medical Fund (‘Merger plan for charities’, July 27).
If it’s good for our hospital, the people of Andover and surrounding villages are going to benefit, I suggest we go in with a clear bank balance.
The clue is in the name — the people of Andover — not Winchester or Basingstoke.
The £51,000 raised from fundraising (to which I also played a big part in) and donations I feel should be given to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
It should be made public where this money goes as it was raised by the people of Andover.
As quoted (by one individual who wished not to be named), “… once the reins have been given over …”, where has it gone?
This is their money — the people of Andover.
