WE the undersigned would like to express our thanks to our colleagues, friends and acquaintances, including many male clergy, who are supporting us and our ministry following the shock decision of the General Synod of the Church of England not to allow the appointment of women bishops.
We would like to assure all our parishioners in the Andover area and surrounding villages, those of the Christian faith and those of other faiths and those of no faith, of our continued support through all your journeys of life.
Through all the milestone moments of birth, marriage and death, during times of sadness and joy.
We will continue to listen to your woes and your dilemmas and celebrate with you in your happiness and blessings, and offer our time and continued prayer to you all despite the disrepute and damage to the credibility of the Church of England this decision has brought.
With love, prayers and every blessing, Rev Canon Jill Bentall (Pastrow Benefice) Revd Sue Hobbins (Pastrow Benefice) Rev Margaret Rittman (Knights Enham, Smannell & Enham Alamein) Rev Victoria Ashdown (Whitchurch with Tufton and Litchfield)
