IN the dark on a cold Saturday travelling from Grateley to Andover I hit a pot hole, puncturing both nearside tyres and bending the front wheel.
Having Betsy with me, I flagged down a car heading for Grately.
It stopped and a woman called Heather helped me get Betsy into her car and went out of her way to get us back to our friends’ bungalow.
It was a very kind thing to do. Please ring Stan on 361822.
