‘OH Yea, Oh Yea, Oh Yea’. – I was the town crier in the pantomime production Happy Ever After at The Lights theatre on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 January and would like to congratulate a number of people who organised and directed the events and did such an excellent job.

Firstly, Sharon O’Leary of the Christian Unity Productions who organised and directed the events, she was outstanding, so well done Sharon.

Rosemary Sabroe produced the costumes and did an excellent job and the musical director Peter Middleton deserves praise for organising and leading the band.

The stage manager was Cat Randle and the choreographer, Pauline Parker, also deserves credit for doing a good job.

The cast were really first class and the 16 children performed so well. It was such a pleasure to be a member of the cast and I am full of praise for all involved with the organisation of the three performances, also including Jez Jameson and the rest of the team.

Judging from the reaction from the audiences on the two evening performances and one matinee performance the pantomimes were very well received.

Well done everyone and thanks are due to the staff of The Lights for all their first class support. Andover and District Mencap and the St Mary’s church appeal are to benefit financially from the performances and so it remains to say ‘Happy Ever After’ to all.
