I WAS reading in the Andover paper dated February 1 that a friend of mine had died. Her name was Dorothy Lewis (Marchment).
I knew her well. She was my friend from our Anton Laundry days during the war. I knew her two sisters Joan and Phil.
As a matter of fact Dorothy sold me her wedding dress and Joan lent me her veil. Dorothy couldn’t come to my wedding because she was close to having her baby. That was back in July 1948. She called him Peter.
It’s sad when you read of a friend dying.
