LibDems had nothing to do with freeze on tax

THERE was a piece of good news which went unreported regarding the council tax.

Test Valley Councillors voted to freeze the Andover levy.

At the same budget meeting I spoke on behalf of the town council and asked them to do this, just as the town councillors had voted to freeze their precept (tax).

While LibDems are very happy to point to Hampshire County Council freezing its portion of the council tax, none of their councillors voted for this.

It was disappointing to watch them fail to vote and then allow a pretence that somehow they played a part in the successful outcome that is the county tax freeze.
