I FELT compelled to write in response to yet another letter published from Councillor Hooke in the Andover Advertiser.
While I applaud Cllr Hooke’s passion to see Andover’s high street improve, I must question if this is best achieved by undermining the democratically elected representatives, calling for their resignation.
Is that constructive?
I would respectfully remind Cllr Hooke that he was elected to serve on the Hampshire County Council and not Test Valley or Andover town councils.
His democratically elected role is to represent his constituents in that arena.
If the people of Andover disagree with the currently elected local councillors and their policies, they have the opportunity to show this at the ballot box when they are up for re-election.
