ON 13 April, eight village gardens at Wildhern were open to the public to raise funds for the Andover Parkinson’s Support Branch.

The sun shone, and people arrived in great numbers with the result that just over £1,000 was raised for the local branch, and would like to thank everyone who came along to support this good cause and at the same time see some lovely village gardens.

If you missed this event, some of these gardens, seven in total, will be opening again on 14 and 15 June under the NGS yellow book scheme, and one of the charities nominated this year will be Parkinson’s UK, and therefore we hope that you will come and visit the Wildhern gardens showing another season of flowers and colour.

The Andover Parkinson’s Support Branch meets monthly at the Methodist Church, Bridge Street, Andover, on the fourth Friday of each month and would welcome anyone to pop in and meet us, and should you have some spare time, volunteers are always needed to help us with our fundraising events.
