THE Pride of Andover Awards Committee were concerned to see in the Andover Advertiser, dated August 1, a letter stating an attempt to make a group nomination was not acceptable.
The committee would like to reassure everyone, that any application for individual and group nominations are accepted, as they have always been.
In 2013 Andover Maternity Unit, Andover Minor Injuries Department, and Andover Carnival Committee all received Pride of Andover Awards.
Other groups who have received awards include Andover Street Pastors, Give a Gift 2 team, Fusion Youth Group and The Gateway Teenagers.
The Pride of Andover Awards celebrates everyone who make a difference to other people’s lives.
Thanks to the Andover Advertiser team the letter writer contacted the Pride of Andover Committee and resolved this matter.
