I AM writing to thank all those involved with the Harmony Wood family day held last Sunday that my wife, children and I so thoroughly enjoyed.
The team from Andover Trees United did a fantastic job keeping so many people entertained with events, including building a chair from poles and sacking, a quiz and some archery, too.
A special tribute must go to Wendy Davis, whose enthusiasm over the past few years to get this whole project up and running, which includes involving so many schoolchildren, must be applauded.
I recall two years ago the first saplings being planted and these areas are becoming more established and are now clearly recognisable.
The Harmony Wood will be a lasting legacy for the town and with so many young people having been involved it is a place to watch and visit over the coming years.
David Drew, Andover
