COULD I use your columns, please, to heap praise on a pharmacist here in Andover, simply because she put her concerns over my health ahead of the need for sales?

Tina, the pharmacist at Boots in the High Street, was quite robust in her suggestion that I return to the doctors and ask for antibiotics – something I can tell you I was most reluctant to do.

She, in the meantime, was reluctant to just sell me cough mixture. We compromised – I got cough mixture and phoned the surgery from the chemist.

I was fortunate to get an emergency appointment and prescribed the antibiotics.

Despite being incredibly busy on my return she enquired of me: “How did you get on?” then helpfully produced some water so that I could take the first capsule.

It would be tremendous if anyone reading this thanked her too should they use the services of the pharmacy there.
