I WAS extremely disappointed to find that the name Frank B Robbins had still not been added to the Andover Cenotaph when I attended the Remembrance Service on November 9.

A planning application was submitted in July so his name could be added to the Cenotaph.

At the Vigil Service on August 4 the names recorded on the Andover Cenotaph were proudly read so we could remember those who gave their lives. Alongside those names Frank B Robbins was also given.

His name was read at the service in 1920 to unveil the memorial and listed in the service book.

Surely it cannot be too much to ask, having got planning permission, to make sure his name is added to the Cenotaph this year, the commemoration of 100 years after The Great War commenced?

Perhaps Test Valley Borough Council can tell us when his name will be added?
