IS THE council really saying that these small local businesses that have stood by the town regardless of so many negative traits are not allowed to have A-boards because it’s a hazard?
Do they think that the streets and alleyways of the town centre are so busy they are literally overflowing with pedestrians and shoppers so they cannot possibly have these boards out on display?
That a mother may accidentally ram her pushchair into it because she can’t see it, stood there, in the open minding its own business?
It’s ridiculous. You cannot take away what little these businesses have to fight the good fight against the huge nationals and then in the next breath praise “our small market town”.
Do you know what is a hazard? Those massive granite balls that cost something ridiculous and do absolutely nothing. I saw a pigeon fall off one once, it was awful. It died shortly after. RIP winged angel.
