IN our new occasional series the Andover Advertiser is publishing a “thank you” olumn featuring messages sent in by readers.

Whether you would like to show gratitude to a loved one or a complete stranger, this is the place to do it.

Send your messages to mike.sims@andover advertiser.co.uk and include your name and the name of the person you wish to thank.

I'd like to thank all the lovely people who came to my aid when I broke down in rush hour traffic at the garden centre roundabout on the Salisbury road, in bitterly cold weather.

Two ladies from the garden centre came across to ask me to wait in safety inside the shop, another lady stopped to see if she could help, then two young men parked up to try to assist.

The AA were en route, but it was heartening in these days of dreadful news headlines that there are so many good and kind people about.

Thank you one and all.

Sally Simmonds, Over Wallop

I’d like to thank the Advertiser for starting this column.

It’s got a real community feel to it and your editor should be applauded. Bravo!
