HOW patronising of Barrie Wickens to suggest we need fewer material goods as we get older.

We are all individuals and as such have different needs and as I have pointed out, I could name various items that I cannot obtain in Andover.

I do not have a computer. I do not wish to order online. I need to see what I am buying. It has been suggested everything is available in Andover; it raises the question, why does Mr Wickens find the need to visit the stores within the 25 mile radius he apparently travels to?

Another pound shop is moving into a prime site.

We do not need another pound shop or another mobile phone shop, charity shop, coffee shop or estate agent but we do need a decent store.

I am glad you like the new bus station where the automatic doors have been out of action for weeks and the coffee shop seems to be sinking.

The money would have been better spent on a more efficient bus service and then we would have more opportunity to use our free bus passes.

Not all non-drivers are elderly and can we consider the disabled?

Maybe a little less ‘I’m alright Jack’ and an occasional thought for those who have difficulty finding what they need in Andover.
