CAN I please say thank you to the people who looked after me when I had a fall at the sports centre.
They include the lady who retrieved my handbag, and the first aid gentleman who looked after my wounds – the centre should be proud of him. Mention should also be made of the other staff who waited patiently until the paramedic arrived.
June Crannaford, of Gallaghers Mead, Andover
GRATEFUL thanks must be offered to Craig Fisher for his meticulous and timely work, listing the 15 Andoverians who had given up their breath 100 years ago on that far off peninsula.
My ANZAC relations in New Zealand will be moved to know of the commemorations here and that as long as our men are remembered, the dust of great uncle Charles and his fallen mates will be hallowed ground among the rocks and beaches of Gallipoli.
Derek Pickett, of Ash Tree Road, Andover.
