WE WOULD like to thank the electors of Winton ward for returning us all on May 7.

Rest assured that we will continue to work for the benefit of all those who live within the ward.

We would also like to thank all of you who completed the survey that was distributed throughout Winton from October last year, this has helped us to plan for the future.

Conservative councillors Jan Budzynski, Jan Lovell and Chris Lynn, Winton ward

WE WOULD like to say a very special thank you to all those residents of Millway ward who supported us by voting for us to be their elected councillors and a huge thank you to everyone in Millway who spoke with us on the doorstep and took time to vote on May 7.

To the many people tirelessly helping us with our campaign, not forgetting the borough council electoral services who counted general, borough and parish ballot papers, for whom May 7 was surely their “longest day”, thank you all.

You have put your trust in us, and it will be a privilege to work again for everyone in Millway, and Test Valley, for the next four years.

Conservative councillors Sandra Hawke, Zilliah Brooks and Jim Neal, Millway ward

DEAR residents, we would like to thank you for taking your time voting for us.

Your councillors can be contacted by email or phone for the St Mary’s ward.

If you have any problems or concerns in your area do not hesitate to contact us.

Conservative councillors Iris Andersen, John Cockaday and David Denny, St Mary’s ward

I WOULD like to thank all the residents of Charlton ward who re-elected me to be their councillor for another term and I would like to reassure all Charlton residents that I will continue to work hard for all residents of the village and wider area of Test Valley.

My grateful thanks go to the members of the public who worked hard with the officers and staff of TVBC to make the elections run smoothly, in both the north and south of the borough, over what was a long two days and an even longer build up.

I would also like to thank all the residents of the borough who returned a Conservative- controlled council with an increased majority, which will allow us to continue to deliver excellent value for money services.

Thank you all.

Conservative councillor Ian Carr, leader Test Valley Borough Council and Charlton ward member

I WOULD like to thank voters in the Harewood ward (comprising the parishes of Barton Stacey, Bullington, Longparish and Wherwell) who turned out to vote and elect me onto the borough council.

Combining the local and general elections saw a large turnout and I would also like to thank all those council officials who took part in the election administration process.

It is, as ever, an honour and a privilege to serve as an elected member, as a councillor on the borough council.

Test Valley has much to offer its residents, situated as it is in a beautiful part of Hampshire’s central southern countryside. Keeping it that way is my first priority.

Then comes the vital work of supporting local communities to help them all achieve their own individual potential.

Only by working together, as a team, can we hope to achieve our best.

Conservative councillor David Drew, Harewood ward

JUST to say congratulations to the Tory party for winning the election and congratulations to Phil Lashbrook for his magnificent victory.

I would just like to add a thank you to Sir George Young for all of his hard work in our area over the years. Sir George is a hard act to follow and he’s already being missed.

I hope that Kit will be as approachable and as helpful.

Mostly I hope he’s a caring, compassionate member of parliament as he did seem that way when I met him up at the coffee pot.

Many thanks to our magnificent tabloid team for all of their hard work.

God bless our Queen, God bless all of you.

Josephine Smith, Andover, via e-mail

GREAT to see Tony Hooke fall flat on his face.

He’s spent months complaining and whining, but when it came down to it voters were unwilling to listen to him.

My faith has been restored in society.

Graham Roberts, via email

I MUST tell you how much I enjoyed the experience of my first borough election count.

The excitement and tension of the count on the day, with so much at stake, was tangible and being involved with the candidates, their supporters and the election staff, who did an excellent job, made it even more enjoyable. More next time, please.

Manuela Wahnon, Andover, via e-mail

THANK you to the 296 people who voted Liberal Democrat in Anna ward.

Josie Msonthi, of Munnings Court, Andover

Our thanks also go to our deliverers and support team who ensured the election period went smoothly.

Conservative councillors Brian Page, Carl Borg- Neal and Karen Hamilton, Harroway ward
