HOW dreadfully upsetting it was to read of the treatment of Paul Stanford by the council.
How very sad it is to think that you cannot do a kindness for somebody without repercussion.
Whoever makes these decisions would do well to remember they will be elderly themselves one day and may need a kindly hand.
Paul was not doing anything for personal reasons but making sure somebody who was unwell was looked after.
Shame on the council.
I do wonder how they would feel if an elderly relative of theirs was in the same position but nobody cared and left them abandoned.
Paul and his wife, Annabel are two of the nicest people I have been fortunate enough to meet. They are both genuine and caring.
Don’t ever change. There are not enough people in the world like them. Obviously these council people are not.
More’s the pity.
