IT’S nice to know that St Mary’s Church in Andover is open from 10am-noon every Saturday until Christmas.
On a recent visit I found a brass plaque commemorating someone I’d say was a local hero (even if he only died in Andover). His name was Horace Rose (1867-1933) who “ever strove to influence the castes and improve the status of women in the Punjab.” Do any of your readers know any more about him?
