Driver of soap box named
RE: my recent soap box (trolley) derby report.
I am reliably informed that the winner driving a motor car lookalike was Mark Mattia who came from a well known ‘old Andover’ family of that name which had dealings in the motor car salvage and scrap metal trade for decades.
The vehicle was towed around town afterwards in triumph.
My thanks to a friend called Gordon for naming the driver.
On January 7 I read in The Times that electricity generated by wind power now exceeds solar and hydro power put together, giving us 10 per cent of our needs.
