IN our phenomenally popular series... the Andover Advertiser is publishing a “thank you” column featuring messages sent in by readers.

Whether you would like to show gratitude to a loved one or a complete stranger, this is the place to do it. Send messages to mike.sims@ andoveradvertiser.co.uk.

I WOULD like to thank the kind people of Andover who looked after my friend and me when she fell in the road behind the Guildhall.

I would especially like to thank the young lady from the Guildhall restaurant who produced two chairs for my friend as she could not be moved. Also people from nearby shops who produced three blankets.

I would like to thank the two young female community police officers who called for an ambulance and helped my friend, the young family and several other kind, young people who gave up their shopping time and stayed with us until the ambulance from Eastleigh arrived. Special thanks to the paramedics who then took us to the Odstock Hospital in Salisbury. The caring and kindness shown to us two old ladies was wonderful and I thank you all so very much.
