AN OPEN letter to Kit Malthouse.

Having read in last week’s Advertiser that Kit Malthouse is supporting the “UK to leave EU campaign”, I wonder if he is so sure in his beliefs that he is willing to answer the following possibilities.

If the UK does vote to leave and as a result the EU say that means the UK is also leaving the EU common market and they put an import duty of 10 per cent on all imports from the UK has Kit contacted the British industry to find out how many of them are likely to move their businesses to the EU and making millions of UK workers jobless?

HSBC has already suggested they are like to move to France.

Secondly does he realise it could mean the break up of the United Kingdom if Scotland decide they want to remain part of the EU and therefore they decide to leave the UK.

It is also a possibility that Northern Ireland may decide that they also want to stay in the EU and they also decide to leave the UK.

There are so many problems in the UK such as the NHS waiting times becoming unacceptable so why does Kit not campaign for the HS2 project to be scrapped and that 50 billion pounds to be spent on the NHS and our schools, instead of putting our future in jeopardy by leaving the EU.

The split in the Conservative party is likely to have serious repercussions on the future of the party. If the UK does leave the EU then David Cameron will have to resign, but if the UK decides to stay in the EU then the prime minister must remove ministers that voted for the UK to leave the EU from his cabinet.

I look forward to Kit’s reply.
