THIS EU thing!

Okay, so we are going to have to make the important decision about whether we stay in the EU or go back to some other plan.

What has happened is what I hoped wouldn’t, but feared as inevitable — the politicians set up a crude barricade, assembled themselves either side of it and set about a jolly good fun, but sadly useless, bunfight.

I was hoping to receive a factual and balanced guide – like a split two page A4 document – In and Out – Pros and Cons, so that I could make my judgement. Dream on!

All we get is politicians and their mateys telling us, Orwellian fashion, what we should think, and how we ought to vote. This is, of course, individually, what favours their pocket the best.

This is, of course, guiding us in opposite directions, depending on who is spouting.

If this sad state continues, what do we do? Toss a coin?

Go, like good little sheep, with whoever shouted loudest, last? A good ploy would be to refuse to vote, such that the turnout was so low, it would be inviolate, and the decision delayed.

Maybe those we employ in public office would then be forced to do their job properly and fairly; or am I dreaming again?
