THANK you for placing the award for the lady that volunteers in the memory café in Tidworth and Ludgershall in the Advertiser.

You did a great job and went down well in the village.

More news from Shipton Bellinger.

They have just held their annual AGM. During the meeting Mr Dave Sperry said that it should have been his last meeting as chairman for the village council, but have had trouble replacing him and so has agreed to stay on for a while longer.

Dave’s work has been a valuable asset to the village as the whole team has been.

Mr Sperry’s wife Pam has achieved some magnificent displays of flowers for some time on the windowsills at the hall.

It’s always a pleasure to walk past these on the way into the coffee pot — it’s good to see so many people admiring them.

There are so many magnificent people in this village from those that run the two hundreds club to those that take part in Castle Down radio and all of the organised quizzes, beetle drives, the allotment society, and everything that goes on for the villagers to take part in and enjoy.

It’s hard work as you can’t please everyone.

Can I just say to them all, thank you for all that you do for all of us? You are appreciated, even if you don’t think so some times.

To all of these magnificent people, you’re great.

And to all of the people that run the Andover Advertiser thank you. You are second to none, just wonderful.

God bless all of you.
