THANKS very much for the first article in the always excellent Back Through The Pages collection in the edition of the Advertiser dated December 2.
It was a a very timely reminder that party politicking went on 125 years ago, even at the Sheep Fair dinner, and that the rhetoric could even then be both unpleasant and personal.
The extra aggravation now seems to be that it is possible to amplify anything via media and social media, until the eardrums hurt ... Not a good time for the sensitive.
