THE Community Transport Team at Test Valley Community Services were delighted to see that Andover Neighbourcare have recently received a donation towards a new minibus.
We are also pleased to announce that we recently launched two new replacement minibuses in Andover High Street, supported by regular passengers, one of our volunteer drivers and representatives of Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Borough Council.
We are a local charity providing affordable transport and minibus hire for voluntary and community groups in Test Valley.
All our drivers are volunteers.
Our minibuses are fitted with tail-lifts or ramps and all are wheelchair accessible.
We also have two accessible cars for people who cannot travel in an ordinary car or taxi.
This can be booked for medical appointments as well as social events for a small charge.
In addition we provide mobility equipment for people to access the town centre and local facilities in Andover through Shopmobility.
We assist many hundreds of people a year who may otherwise be isolated or lonely or feel they have lost their independence.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our passengers, drivers and driver assistants a happy New Year.
Chris Daley, Community Transport Manager, Test Valley Community Services
