HORRIFIC is the only word I can think of to describe the threatening tactics of Aster against the leaseholders of Kingsway Gardens, Andover.
Thank you for bringing it out into the open. I can only hope that perhaps a national newspaper will be interested in it.
The amount of money demanded from Aster is disproportionate to the value of the property. The flats are at the bottom end of the market. Residents have not chosen to live in damp, under-maintained property. If the residents had £20,000 or £27,000 in the bank, they certainly would not be living in Kingsway Gardens.
No-one chose to buy one of these flats because of their luxury status but because they were reasonably priced, but are now un-saleable. I do not think many people these days could afford to find a further £400 every month, and it surely can’t be taken from bank accounts if it is not there.
I do wonder if it is legal to take money from a resident’s bank account. Surely this would be putting them into debt?
