A RECENT event was held where friends were kept rocking and rolling with laughter at a special dinner dance and cabaret which featured Alvin and his Elvis Tribute.

The event was held at Keystone Hall, and was the third year it’s taken place.

This year it was felt that the six-letter word ‘cancer’ had been drawn much to our attention, either causing severe disruption in peoples’ lives or even ending their lives prematurely. It was therefore decided that any profits from this event would go to Cancer Research UK.

Due to the generosity of those attending and others donating raffle prizes etc, the grand total of £1,155.30 will be sent to Cancer Research UK.

I would like to give a very big thank you to all the supporters who made this evening a great success. The result was beyond our wildest dreams. Once again a very big thank you and we hope that this donation will help to prevent sadness in future generations caused by this dreadful disease.
