a) both carriageways of the A303 between Hundred Acre Interchange (A342/A343) and Parkhouse Cross Interchange (A338);

2) to authorise the 24-hour closure of all of the lay-bys adjacent to the carriageways described in 1) a) above.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of SSE undertake the replacement of power poles. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 1 night starting on or after Thursday 20th February 2020. The overnight closure would take place between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The lay-bys would be cleared prior to commencement of the works and re-opened with the road. The Order would come into force on 18 February 2020 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Through traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using the A338, A3026 and A342 in
both directions. Access to properties would be maintained under escort. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
