A303 TRUNK ROAD (QUARLEY JUNCTION) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A303 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prevent traffic incursion into works proposed to be executed on an adjoining road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of the road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A303 at Quarley Junction.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Hampshire County Council undertake drainage works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 8 nights starting on or after Tuesday 3rd May 2022. The overnight closures would take place between 20:00 and 06:00
(maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 30th April 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closure would be diverted using the A303 westbound to
Parkhouse Cross, B3084, Station Road, High Street and the unnamed road to Quarley. The temporary closures and diversion route would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
