national highways

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A303 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prevent incursion into works proposed to be executed on an adjoining road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of the roads leading from and to both carriageways of the A303 at Picket Twenty Interchange (A3093).
This measure would be in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Hampshire County Council undertake kerb replacement, resurfacing, and all associated works on the adjoining A3093.
The work would occur in two phases. The kerb replacement work would last for approximately 2 nights starting on or after Monday 23rd May 2022, between 19:30 and 04:30 hours (maximum period). The resurfacing work would last for approximately 9 days starting on or after Monday 27th June 2022, between 22:00 and 06:00 hours (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 21st May 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when all phases of the work are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using other junctions on the A303, and by using the A3057, A3093, B3048 and B3400, under Local Authority traffic management.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
