Dear Editor,

Yesterday, around dinner preparation time, our cold water supply failed in Oakley at the top end of the Vale. We had no warning that water pressure failed.

So NHS treatment is now being rationed along some sort of residency lines in Cornwall. Apart from emergency treatment you may well find care refused.

Dear Editor,

We have a school bulging at the seams, roads in the most shameful state, a chemist so busy that queues can form outside, they find getting the correct prescribed medicines difficult, the village surgery seldom staffed, meaning regular journeys to Overton to see a doctor. Are these the signs of the times?

AS a former conservative councillor for Winklebury and Manydown, I campaigned hard to get the best for all of the residents in the ward.

Water companies tend to hit the headlines when we hear about yet another sewage scandal.

In my previous letter, I never strayed into Maria Miller's 'take' on the situation at Brighton Hill, but suffice it to say that the lady is barking up the wrong tree:
