A TEAM of daredevils will walk on the wings of a biplane at 500ft to raise thousands of pounds for a disability charity. The four adventurers have signed up to go wing-walking, strapped on top of a biplane at speeds of 130mph. Enham Trust’s CEO Peta Wilkinson, receptionist Pauline Bisson, carer Dean Cleary and Emma Holland, an e l e c t r i c a l / mech a n i c a l engineer with Stannah, will experience the biplane looping the loop. The team, who all live near Andover, hope to raise funds for the Enham Trust, which provides care options, homes, work and training opportunities for thousands of disabled adults. Peta Wilkinson said: “Wing-walking is a great personal test for us, but disabled people face huge challenges every single day of their lives. “The Enham Trust is all about giving disabled people the power to live with dignity and independence.” Emma Holland said: “I do have a fear of heights, so it’ll be Enham’s residents who are inspiring me to go for it. “I’ve always been one to sign up for the i n t e r e s t i n g and daring activities that allow me to push myself.” And Pauline Bisson added: “I am looking forward to it but also quite petrified.” They recently visited the Museum of Army Flying, in Middle Wallop, to get a feel for their challenge on 13 September.
