A SILVER milestone has been reached by a property expert at a law firm.

Phillips Solicitors celebrated their head of residential property’s silver milestone at the firm.

Zoё Baxter marked 25 years at Phillips Solicitors with a lunch-time celebration attended by her colleagues and senior director Howard Gardener.

Reflecting on her time at Phillips, Howard praised Zoё’s dedication and commitment, saying, “I am continually impressed with what she does with the high volume of work and the many long hours – it is an extraordinary achievement.”

The head of residential property and avid film enthusiast studied electronic and electrical engineering at Birmingham University, before deciding to do a law degree and go on to become a lawyer.

When she first joined the firm as a trainee in 1993, Jurassic Park was the big blockbuster, Bill Clinton was the US president, and the average price for a semi-detached house in Basingstoke was around £74,000 compared to £311,996 today.

Zoё thanked her colleagues and the late John Phillips, one of the firm’s founders.

She said: “It was through Mr Phillips that I stayed with the firm after my training contract.

“I have never looked back since and look forward to the years ahead.”
