A BASINGSTOKE businesswoman celebrated 15 years of running her own company by throwing open an invitation to learn how to become a professional wonder woman.

More than 70 women, including business owners, educators and retailers, attended the launch of Lynda Cant's new self-study book 'How To Be A Professional Wonder Woman and Keep Your Sanity' which took place at Test Valley Golf Club, Overton, on Friday 7 September.

The author: “Women’s lives have changed immeasurably in the past 25 years through the advent of the internet and mobile phone.

"Women are now always on call and reachable. There are more women in the workplace, but we are maintaining the traditional responsibilities of childcare, cooking, cleaning, looking after ageing parents.

“To sum it all up, women feel responsible for everything and everyone.”

Lynda’s book is a seven-step guide on how to lead happy, healthy and enriched lives.

As well as the guide, Lynda offers one-to-one coaching for fast track results. She says: “I want to share some simple strategies from my years of experience in the corporate world. I was propelled from being a shorthand typist to a board director in a company which was part of a FTSE 100 company.”

Using that experience, Lynda started her own company running workshops based on emotional intelligence to help leaders, managers and teams to reach their potential.

As well as the guide, Lynda has started running mindfulness workshops at the Pink Place, the Basingstoke charity which helps women living with cancer.

She is extending these workshops with four evening sessions lasting two hours, which started on Monday, 24 September at Worting House.
